Lord, we know You have already had mercy on us lost sheep. May You guide us not to attempt to become someone else, to become whatever we think is good or will lead to good things for us, but to devote ourselves to You who has already given Yourself to us.
For only in You can we find lasting freedom, receive a hope that will not be let down (for You are the only one that can bear the full weight of a life), and see the gifts hidden within what makes us different from others.
Help us also not to be swallowed by bitterness when we are unfairly judged or run straight into our limits. It’s fine even if others don’t get what we are thinking or are unable to accept us as we are. Thank You for understanding our suffering and our weakness, and accepting us anyway. Though we know not when something will change, we know Your grace is sufficient for us, and that You have plans and a future to give us. Thank You Lord. Amen.
