Our Father, I just learned tonight that my cancer buddy, who has suffered through advanced cancer, a new cancer, then bankruptcy (despite going back to work at a very old age) has just had a stroke. She has been admitted to the hospital. I pray that You guide her caregivers and treatment, and strengthen her mind and body. Please keep her from suffering, mental or physical. If it's Your will, restore her to health. Help her to recover from every affliction. Thank you, Our Lord, and amen. Lord, you know how much mental suffering he has endured for most of his life, please let him have peace of mind on earth before you call him "home."
